1. We are skip counting by 7's because to go the number up to the following number we add 7. The next three numbers that appear could be 77, 84, and 91.

2. 2. counting by 10's beginning at 1000 and working backwards , we would have subtracting 10 of 1000 to arrive at one number. The initial number will be 990. Then we continue counting and going down by 10 every time. The first five numbers we see are 990, 980, 970, 960, and 950.
